Advantage and Disadvantage of the Internet
Computer, tablet, mobile phone, and other devices
connected to Internet have been the most outstanding innovation in the history
of mankind. The internet services can help us in every situation and conditions
such as we lost in somewhere, sending work files by email, calling someone etc.
furthermore internet is easy to access not only for adult people but also kids.
As with every single innovation, internet has its own advantages and
disadvantages.
The target of internet has always been the
communication. Now we can communicate in a fraction of second with a person who
is sitting in the other parts of the world. Today for better communication, we
can avail the facilities of e-mail; we can chat for hours with our loved ones.
There are plenty messenger services in offering. With help of such services, it
has become very easy to establish a kind of global friendship.
Internet can
help us to enlarge our mind. By using internet we can search everything we
interest on. Now we can study not only on class but also in everywhere and
every time we want to. We can learn in many subject by youtube or google. Every
year the netizen (people who using internet services) increase, it may make
them sharing their knowledge on blog or video.
Moreover, we
can produce our extra money by online transaction. Using internet for trading
is legal. Many people have use it by making their own online shop (by instagram
or blog) or they can sell they product by sending the information of its
product in another online shop such as bukalapak or tokopedia. Then they can
get the money from buyer by banking transfer.
However,
Internet also has disadvantageous sides. One of them is the wide spread of
unsuitable content for kids. It is a very serious issue and related to
children's healthy mental life. There are thousands of such inappropriate
contents on the Internet which can be easily found.
Also, internet
usage for trading is has been used by malicious person to gain profit by using
sneaky ways that makes the consumers lose. For example is the quality of
product, consumers cannot touch and see the product directly. They just look
the picture of it and read the description of the product. The bad seller may
send bad quality product to their consumer or maybe they not send the product.
Though,
internet can be very fatal for us if we misuse it, but the advantages of
internet is still outweigh its disadvantages.
